As a quick guide I’ve listed the main services that I provide with approximate prices. Fees will increase if the word count is higher, extensive research is required or if there is a tight deadline.

When I work in-house for agencies and consultancies I charge the following fixed rates:
Daily Rate: £320
Half day: £200
I’m a professional member of the Professional Copywriters’ Network and my fees are well within their suggested guidelines for copywriting rates. I will charge you a fair price for the work I do and the value that my writing brings to your business is always much, much more than the fees I charge.
I work from home with minimal overheads so I’m much more flexible and affordable than some agencies you may have worked with in the past.
My clients tell me that I am fun to work with and bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to their projects.
Most of my clients prefer to negotiate a fixed rate for their projects. When we have our initial chat you can tell me more about your business needs and I will be able to give you an estimate of the fees involved and a timescale. I’m usually booked up 4-6 weeks in advance but can often juggle things around for shorter projects and so it’s always worth getting in touch to check my availability.
I offer discounted rates if you purchase more than one product or if you book me for longer term projects.
My clients have used my white papers and articles as the basis for highly successful national and international PR campaigns and the content of my white papers can be easily repurposed, providing high value and original content for blogs, articles, brochures, pitches, presentation decks, newsletters and social media posts.
The majority of my clients have continued to work with me long after their initial project was completed because they enjoy working with me and realise the value that my writing brings to their business.
If you think you would like to work with me I usually proceed by offering potential clients a sample piece of writing.
If you provide me with the title and keywords (if appropriate) for a short, 500 word blog post, I would be very happy to write this for you. This will give me an indication of how long it will take me to research and write future pieces and I can then provide you with a more accurate estimate of my fees moving forward.
More importantly it allows you to determine whether my writing style is a good fit for your business and whether you would like to work with me in the future.
If you are happy with the sample and would like to use the piece I will charge you for the time that I spent writing it. As a guide I charge £40 per hour and anticipate it taking between 4 – 6 hours to write a blog post of this length.
If you do not wish to use the piece then I will not charge you for the sample.
If you think that this sounds reasonable, please get in touch and I’ll start working on your sample straight away.
We’ll kick off with either a face-to-face meeting or a phone call/video call and you’ll tell me all about your business and what you need my help with.
I’ll then go away and come back to you within 5 working days with a proposal and an estimate of my fees.
We’ll then tweak the proposal together to make sure that we’re both happy and at that point we’ll agree the final project fee.
I’ll then send you my contract to have a look through and once you are happy with that I ask for an upfront and non-refundable deposit (25% of the project fee) and once the deposit has been paid I’ll get cracking on the copy. I don’t charge a deposit to returning clients.
I promise to stay in touch and give you regular updates and I always offer up to three redrafts included in the project price so you can rest assured that you will be 100 per cent happy with the result.

I have worked both in-house and remotely for marketing agencies and a leading communications consultancy and through these I have worked on high profile campaigns for major national and multinational brands. I have extensive experience of drafting, copywriting, editing and proofreading and I can quickly get to grips with a creative brief.
If you would like me to help you out with a particular marketing project or if you have a deadline coming up and need additional resource in order to meet it, then passing a portion of the work over to me can make a lot of sense. For longer term projects you may prefer to work with me on a retainer basis.
Some clients need longer term support, for example you may have a specific long-term marketing campaign that you would like me to help you out with, or you might want to keep your website content fresh and improve your SEO by booking me on a monthly or quarterly basis to produce regular and consistent articles or blog posts.
You can book me for anything from a couple of hours a month to up to five days a week (subject to availability) and I will charge you a set monthly fee until the project is completed. This always works out as being more cost effective than paying the equivalent project rate and I offer a ten per cent discount if the retainer agreement is for longer than three months.
Many of my clients choose to continue working with me long after the initial project has been completed. For this reason I am usually booked up 4-6 weeks in advance.
